Martin Füllenbach terminates his position on the Executive Board – Extension of the Executive Board contracts of Petra Preining and Kristian Brok ensures continuity

Vienna, Austria, 29 September 2021 – Martin Füllenbach prematurely resigns from his mandate as CEO of Semperit AG Holding as of today in order to pursue a new professional challenge after the restructuring of the Semperit Group has been successfully completed and profitability has been increased in 14 consecutive quarters. The Supervisory Board of Semperit AG Holding acknowledges this personal decision with great regret and has approved the mutually agreed termination of his contract.

At the same time, Petra Preining was confirmed in her function as CFO and was won for an Executive Board contract that runs until 31 December 2024. She is therefore leaving the Semperit Supervisory Board with immediate effect. The Executive Board mandate of COO Kristian Brok was also extended early until 31 December 2025. “This will ensure the continuation of our course, stability and further focus the attention on the Industrial Sector. I look forward to the continued cooperation with two very experienced members of the Executive Board with close ties to the company, with whom the Semperit Group is well equipped for the next stage of the transformation process and the challenges related to it,” says Herbert Ortner, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Semperit AG Holding.

Ortner continues: “Martin Füllenbach has transformed Semperit into a successful group in the past four and a half years. I thank him sincerely, also on behalf of my colleagues, for his outstanding performance. We greatly regret his departure but must respect his personal motives and wish him all the best for his professional and private future.”

“I look back on a time that was as exciting as it was challenging in a great Austrian company with a long tradition that has undergone a tremendous transformation and is now healthy and profitable”, Martin Füllenbach takes stock. “I would like to express my gratitude to our supervisory bodies, my colleagues on the Executive Board, managers and all employees of the Semperit Group, who have actively supported my course and made our corporate transformation possible. New tasks await me now.”

Until the position of CEO is filled, Petra Preining and Kristian Brok will take over his responsibilities on the Executive Board on an interim basis.
