  • Solid basis for further international growth

Vienna, Austria, 26 June 2017 — The international rubber technology group Semperit AG Holding is strengthening the position of its Semperit Profiles production site in Deggendorf, Germany. Rubber gaskets for windows, doors, gates, and facades are developed and manufactured according to customer requirements at the site.

With an investment of around € 5 million, measures to improve efficiency and expand capacity were planned and implemented within the space of 10 months.

"Our plant received a central energy-efficient cooling system and two new rubber gasket production lines. As a result of this investment, we are significantly reducing energy costs and markedly enhancing production efficiency. We are also expanding capacity, to allow for the further international expansion of Semperit Profiles. An additional positive aspect of the investment is the creation of new jobs", commented Franz-Xaver Fischl, Site Manager of the Semperit Profiles plant in Deggendorf.

"Today, Semperit Profiles is Europe's largest manufacturer of rubber gaskets in the construction sector. Our long-standing development experience, German quality and reliability are increasingly in demand outside Europe. We have also been supplying gaskets to customers in the US, the Gulf region and Asia for some time. The increased capacity will enable us to gain further market share more rapidly in these regions", said Dieter Kaiser, Commercial Head of Semperit Profiles.
